ABOUT US
Al-Mizan Charity Trust & Social Welfare Society, a non-profit, non-government organization, was registered under the Indian Trusts' Act of 1882. It is a Muslim grant-funder which supports disadvantaged people and deprived communities across the globe, regardless of their faith or cultural background.
It is an undeniable fact that among the Indians, the people are down trodden, weak and poor. The poverty which is prevalent among them hampers the children from getting education, forces many families to employee their young one's even of tender age in some manual work as labourers, compels the talented youth to discontinue their higher learning and holds them back from engaging themselves in any kind of industry and enterprise.
One can see the poorest of the poor and hungry picking thrown out morsels of food from garbage along with cats and dogs. This is one of the darkest aspects of our community. No doubt eradication of poverty is a very grave and challenging problem, but every person should do something and contribute his best, at least on local level and see that this disappointing situation is eradicated in and around his locality.
With this inspiration, the Al-Mizan Trust has been founded and aims to justify what it has been started to do.
Al-Mizan Charitable Trust is a Muslim charity that supports vulnerable individuals and families living in poverty across the globle, regardless of their faith or cultural background.
Whilst the India's welfare and benefits system sustains those living at the margins of society, it offers little in the way of confronting the multiple barriers of disadvantage, which perpetuate the vicious cycle of poverty. Aside from food and shelter, we believe that people need to access the skills and opportunities which allow them to maintain a dignified existence above the poverty line and positively engage in the community.
Our core work focuses on providing small grants to those most in need. Our beneficiaries include wide-ranging social groups such as the elderly, infirm and disabled, single parents and those who have suffered bereavement, domestic violence or abuse. The financial assistance we provide covers subsistence, specialist medical treatment and essential social services, as well as access to vocational skills, personal development and employment.
The Trust is a registered under the Indian Trusts' Act of 1882 . We adhere to all recognised models of good practice and quality standard, which is essential to ensure accountability when managing and distributing funds to the general public.
